Not this season. Possibly in the future.
I've only been there for breakfast, they do a great job of it.
I can't answer that, but when we went there the dinning room was dirty, the staff was screaming at each other in the kitchen, they forgot our soups, and the food was just ok.
This was a one of the worse meals I have ever paid for! One dish that was a stuffed lobster was all bread with three bad tasting lobster chunks. It was SOOO over prised when you can get a lobster while for just 2$!
Really unfortunate experience today. There were four adults today for lunch. After ordering the waitress came back twice to inform us that 3 of the 4 meals we ordered were unavailable. When the meals finally came out they were not great, steak was over cooked. We never saw our waitress again, she never checked on us, never offered refills on drinks and never brought the bill. It was only her 2nd day and we understand the challenges during Covid... Just an unfortunate experience.
Lobster tough and dry. Scallops were ok. Margaritas were great.
We took the ferry from bar harbor to Winter harbor today and was able to walk down to chase restaurant. The food was simply perfect the lobster BLT was the perfect combination of taste crunch and flavor. The broiled scallops stuffed was great though they did not remove the foot. Highly recommend this place for food and service.
Food was great there
Very good food, friendly staff
Just stopped in to get something for the road. The Haddock dinner was a perfect snack for 3 of us! Large fried Haddock steak with 2 sides. Service was fast and friendly.
I liked this place. They were all so friendly during this time of gloom. I had a lobster roll which was very good. I asked for no mayonnaise. That has no business trying to make lobster better. They gladly served it up that way. It comes in a standard size Maine hot dog roll. You can find lots bigger, but this was perfect for lunch. And I got a side of French Fries, made with Maine potatoes. My wife ordered a blackened fish wrap and reported that was very good as well. And we finished with a slice of blueberry pie, the blueberries coming from just a few miles up the road. Attentive service, excellent food, proper social distancing. Perfect lunch and we topped it off with a larger than standard tip. They earned it!
Perfect establishment nice staff great food
Been going there since 1991, couple of owner changes but over the years it's been a very good family restaurant. Good seafood, reasonably priced, varied menu, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. May not be open in the winters so you need to check their hours to be sure of their schedule.
Best 🎏 restaurant I've ever been too..
A local told us to go, he must have not liked us very much. We sat there for almost 30 minutes before even being asked about drinks which then took another 10 minutes. The service was horrible from start to finish, even forgetting to put food in. The same thing happened at the table next to us, the worst part being that we were 1 of only 3 tables! The food was not horrible but very plain and nothing special as well as overpriced. I would never return.
The Lobster Eggs Benedict is AMAZING folks! Although I am a carbohydrate king I usually indulge in the Blueberry French Toast, that my friends is what Maine breakfast should be!!
Nice Maine comfort food. Great service.
Delicious food and fair price
If you insist on paying inflated prices on overpriced seafood then I guess this is as good as anyplace to throw your money away. The thing is that is common in season. The real problem with this place is the very poor service. Seated but not even asked for a drink order. Waitress telling people who came in behind us that it would be minimum of forty minutes for service. People in front of us sitting there waiting longer then us at lunch. No one should be subjected to that type service. Hire some help. At the prices of your food you should be able to afford it. Trust me you can find a better place to throw it away in.
Great lobster roll and lazy lobster dish. The bread pudding was very goos too.
Not meny people go there that IV sean
I love this place! Was here two years ago and then stopped in again this summer for another lobster roll! The best lobster roll ever! Generous helping of tender lobster on a perfectly breaded and grilled roll! The blueberry pie was also scrumptious! I will always stop in at Chase's on future trips to Maine!!
We ate breakfast here daily while vacationing in the area. It's a quiet comfortable cozy homey place. The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious. You can't go wrong with homemade blueberry pancakes with real maple syrup when visiting Maine.
Our lobster stew was more of a lobster meat submerged in a cream. Very watery. Apple crisp dessert lacked the crisp - more like an apple sauce with chunks of apple, but still tasty. Service was good. Overall not too bad.
Quaint little mom and pop style restaurant. Good food, good prices. Could use a better selection of beverages .
Friendly, attentive server. Seafood chowder loaded with fish, clams, scallops. Fried clams, fried scallops, haddock all perfectly cooked. Blueberry pie not quite as good as my mother's, but is pretty darned good. Excellent dining experience. Restrooms clean and smelled nice.
We just left Chase’s and really enjoyed our visit. Darlene was very friendly, a local who told us local spots to check out. The restaurant is not fancy, it was very quaint with views of the bay and cottages across the street. We ate shrimp rolls, fish burgers, and blueberry pie - yum! This offered some of the best meals while we were in Maine. We came in late September so we didn’t wait for a table. We enjoyed listening to the locals friendly banter and the relaxed atmosphere. If you are one to complain about wait time, this is not the place for you. I would wait 40 minutes with a smile on my face. Thanks Darlene for all the hospitality and wealth of knowledge. We hope to return soon.
Good food, great price for how much food you get. Wonderful atmosphere
Generous portions in the lobster rolls. The meat is tossed in a mayo dressing that you can easily season with salt and pepper at the table if you find it too mellow. The blueberry pie is good, but get the blueberry crisp if they have it. Recommend and would order the same again.
Great seafood, great service and a beautiful area to see
Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon, after the lunch crowd. Place was dead (we were the only ones there for awhile) and we ordered fish and chips and a lobster roll.Overall very tasty.
Outstanding corned beef for breakfast. Cooked just right. The blueberry pancakes were awesome. Be sure and splurge for Maine maple syrup. Not only was the food outstanding, the service more than met our expectations. Attentive, friendly, and casual (in a very good sort of way!).This is a great local restaurant in Winter Harbor Maine.
Lots of food friendly service great prices. Clean but not spectacular. Good Food, fast service tastes great. Plenty to take home.
They allowed the customers in front of us in line to order carry out directly. Then they made us leave the building and dial a 3rd party service to order our carry out. No. Thank. You.Went somewhere better.Edit: and now they're lying in their reply to my review. No, you didn't ask me if I had a phone on me. You simply refused to accept my order in person, told me to go away and call a 3rd party service.
Bottom line - keep out !!! We got chraged 3USD for a cup of coffee, 1.5 USD for a spoon size scoop of ice cream. When we substitute the french fries as specified in menu with sweet potato fries we got charged for an extra order of sweet potato fries and when we mentioned it to the waitress she started arguing with us that we are wrong which was so embarrassing. Zero stars if i could...
Good basic family style restaurant. Great fish and chips.
We eat here frequently in Sept. Fabulous fsh and chips and the onion rings are the best!!! Been there twice this past week. See ya in a'few...
So cozy and friendly. Food was wonderful.
Nice little place. Great food, great sevice! The seafood chowder was excellent!
I would give .5 stars if it was an option
I would give them a five star if they were open all year and had a wider bar menu. The fish and chips are very good. Wedge salad very good. Clam chowder very good.
The service was nice. I got the fish and chips and wasn’t too impressed. Not much flavor in any of the food. Probably wouldn’t return.
Great stop
The service was great! We had Lobster roll and lobster stew. Both were AMAZING!!!Can't wait to return
Small, comfortable and affordable. Fresh caught seafood. Delicious! Good family menu! Even for kids (they have mac n cheese).
Best Seafood Chowder on the Eastern seaboard without a doubt.
If your a millennial that eats grilled chicken from "chick fill a" 4 days a week don't come and then leave a bad review. If your going to be upset that the furnishings don't look like the cheesecake factory then don't come here.If your a half_ass foodie that is going to be upset that there isn't a wine list, then don't come here.If you want a good meal from a family owned restaurant in an out of the way place, come on down.Even I was a little skeptical when I realized the scallops in my scallop role we're cooked in a deep fryer.Sacrilegious right? Wrong.....flavor wins! Comfy, cozy, homey. 5 stars 5 stars. 5 stars
Very busy this evening, seems like the dinner crowd all came at once. Staff very friendly. Nice enjoyable evening.
Lobster in the lobster roll was a little chewy. Fries were good. Kept looking up at the grid in the light fixture that seemed like it seriously needed to be cleaned.
Very long wait for our food. Small portions. My daughter's Mac and Cheese was the best item that our table had.
Best seafood, chowdah & reasonable prices.
Super busy. Bit of a wait. Family place, nice people. Good food.
Good food, great staff! We always try to stop in here when we go to Schoodic Point (part of Acadia National Park) especially for the pie -- but the meals are good too. When our waitress noticed that one of our party was staying in the car, she asked if they'd be in, and on finding out they didn't feel so well, volunteered to take some saltines out to the car. Always glad to eat there!
